SIBI FOUNDATION is a NGO working for the welfare and development of poor and marginal people in Tamilnadu.

Community  Integration and Betterment of Women Empowerment Foundation (CIBWE Foundation) now renamed as Social Integration and Betterment of Women Empowerment Foundation (SIBWE Foundation)  was established in 2009 by the former founder cum Managing trustee Mr.S.Jayachandran. He has brought all other trustees who are having the same thought and thirst. Then the present Managing Trustee Mr.S.Chandrasekar and Mrs.S.Chitra are leading this organization from 2011. Both of them are from the poor background and they had a thought of serving the people in their childhood days. By finding the  basic ambitions of the likeminded people  that are to promote the peace and love among the people, create a life with brotherly hood, make all creatures to lead a dignified life without any discrimination in terms of any context are the base for forming this organization. After they gathered they framed the rules and regulations, power and duties, Vision and mission, goal and objectives and the constitutional structure with discussion. Then they registered the organization under Indian Trust Act 1882 with the registration Number of 106  in 2009. After the incorporation, they started functioning at Thanjavur and Thiruvaiyaru blocks in Thanjavur District. The main target groups are the women who are the sexually minorities, the depressed population like Dalit and tribal who are socially minorities and the children who are the dependent of the parents and other community stake holders. It is not for profit and not a political organization. Further the Organization has been registered with Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India under Foreign Contribution and regulation Act 1976.

A message from the Managing Trustee

I am very pleasure to submit this annual report of Our Trust for the year 2011-12 to all who are very relevant to our Trust and our services. Indeed it is very difficult to see the grass root for every problem which prevails in the community. Since inception, you are aware that we are working among the women community for their economic, political and social upliftment, we could not find a good solution towards tackling their problem. It is an unhide fact that the economic need is the main expectation of these women the other empowerment could not be brought out without that economic fulfillment. Therefore our board of Directors decided to solve this problem at a priority level and then to undertake all other programs as we undertook this year. For that we approached few banks and requested them to support the women group for their economic empowerment and so far we have fulfilled the need of 90% women under our formation. In addition to that the skill training we undertook helps the women folk to select the trade for economic development activity. This brings a good success among the women.

Hence in this golden occasion I would like to deliver my immense thanks to all especially the Board of Directors, the well wishers and the staff team without whose dedication and hard work we could achieve nothing. In addition I would thank to the Branch Managers of all banks for their financial support.

Finally, I request all to extent their support in the future years as they have done in the past. Thank you all once again.
